February 2009

My kid brother is getting cuter every day....
But you don't want to get too close to him when he's trying to eat.

January 2009

Holy crap, are you kidding me? I turned 4 already, and went to Disneyland to celebrate with the princesses. Which one is the real princess? I'm pretty sure you all know that I'm the real one, so treat me like it!

Has it really been almost a year?

I'll pick a picture or two of the month until I get caught up. It's been kind of crazy!

Signs of Fall

First Day of School!!
Well, another summer has come and gone and fall is here. I'm pretty quick, and I knew that Mom was up to something pretty big. Turns out, she signed me up for pre-school. She says it is because I'm a big girl now, but I think she just wants me out of her hair for a few hours a week.

It's pretty cool so far. I already know how to count and write my name, so hanging around with a few other kids and learning new things isn't so bad. I haven't learned how to share very well yet, but I have been on my best behavior and am making so many new friends.
Another great thing about fall, is Halloween! I can't wait to get all that candy! I'm now in the full swing of "the princess years" and will be a princess. More on that phase later... I did get to go with Mommy and friends to the pumpkin patch, so here's a few pictures from that fun day.

On the train with Faith, Will, and Miss Kim...

Here we are in the pumkin patch, but Ryan wanted no part of this picture.

Ryan and Will were getting some work done on the tractors.

Now, the number one reason why I can tell it is fall... is that rite of passage that happens only in October.

Much like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football...

It is time for the Angels to try to beat the Red Sox in the playoffs. But once again, the Red Sox kicked the crap out of the Angels, and Daddy is happy.

"Oops, can I say 'crap' Daddy?"

"Ah, usually not, but its ok this one time."

So anyway, here is a picture of Ryan representing all that is good about October. Except for the candy, but we'll see that soon enough.

Go Red Sox!

Disneyland!!

Hi! Daddy ditched work on Friday, and we went to Disneyland!! We started off kinda soft, with that kiddie Nemo ride, then hung around in Toon Town for a while.
Then we had a nice healthy lunch!!

After lunch, we tried to make sure we could hold it down by going on the tea cups!
After that, we started going on some more of the big kids rides. We went on Splash Mountain! Not once, not twice, but 3 times! And Pirates of the Caribbean - twice! And after that, it was game on because I found out I was tall enough to go on just about every ride there is! So what if I'm only 3 and a half, I am fearless! Well, almost fearless...

Space Mountain. Yes, Space Mountain.

So I looked a little scared, but I wasn't... I asked to go again, but once I did so good on Space Mountain, I decided that I was ready to see the Abominable Snowman on the Matterhorn ride. Sorry, no photos available, but we went on that 3 times too!

So, for the grand finale - I was allowed to pick either the Dumbo Ride, or Big Thunder Mountain. Guess what I picked? Yep, Big Thunder Mountain - 3 times! I loved it! I wanted to go 10 more times! Check it out!

Here I am waiting for the train to come... Then, after we rode the first time, daddy showed me where the billy goat stays on top of the mountain - so when you watch the video - that's what I was asking about. Enjoy, I did!

And, after 11 hours at the Happiest Place on Earth, it was time to go home.

Summer Fun

Well, summer has come and is almost gone, and I haven't had much time to update everyone on our adventures. Here's what we've all been up to!

Daddy turned 40 and wore a funny hat to celebrate. I'm not sure how old that is, so I kept asking him, "How old will I be when I'm 40? When will I be 40?"

Then, right after Daddy went over the hill, Ryan turned one. He had a few birthday parties and made a big mess of it!

Here I am at the waterpark with Halimah, where we celebrated Ryan's birthday - again! Check out my bandage.... it was pretty cool, I fell on the trampoline at tumbles class, cut my leg, and hadto get stitches.

We celebrated the 4th of July at the crazy golf tournament that Daddy plays in with Uncle Bill, and got to spend some time with Duke and Breann.

and spent some time at the beach collecting shells and playing in the sand.

So then, my cousin's came to town in late July...

and we got to do all kinds of fun stuff!

More summer fun...

We took the train to San Diego, went to the Zoo to see the monkeys, and spent some time at the beach. Kara and Kayla are the best, we had so much fun! Even though they went home a couple months ago, I still ask when they're coming back all the time.

Then a week later, we went to the Padre game and had a ball - and a hot dog, and soda, and licorice, and peanuts.... oh yeah, and don't forget the monkey faces.

My cousins from Arizona came over for an afternoon at the Waterpark, then we drove my Escalade around and played around.

Baby Brother and Me

Aside from all the summer fun, visits, and adventures, I've been spending a lot of time with my best buddy and favorite playmate, Ryan. Sure, I rough him up quite a bit, but I do love him to pieces. Here's some pictures of us playing around.

That boy sure is cute!

Along Came Andrew

Guess what?! I have a new baby! Well, my Auntie Chris and Uncle Brian have a new baby, his name is Andrew. I'm pretty sure that he came along just so that I'd have another baby to love. All I wanted to do the first time I saw him was hold him, hold him, hold him. He sleeps a lot now, but I can't wait until me, Ryan, and Andrew are all running around causing trouble at Mimi Marcia's and Papa Bob's house.

Here I am holding him for the first time.

Ryan likes milk... sort of.

Hey, it's me, Ryan.
Now that I'm one, it's time for me to kick the formula. You thought gas was expensive? Try baby formula. My formula is 28 bucks a gallon, smells like crap, but I love it. I'm trying out this milk stuff now in small doses, and trying to get used to a sippy cup. So far, so good, I spill a little bit, but you be the judge...

Yum!!

3 pictures of me!

I'm on top of the world!!! Or maybe on top of the Irvine Spectrum ferris wheel anyway.
Me and Minnie like to roll in my Escalade

I'm ready for the pool, some rain, and the silly face contest, daddy!

Ladies Man

Ryan gets pretty tired after a long day of women fawning over him. Every once in a while, he's gotta shut the baby blues down for a little siesta.

Movies of my brother

Ryan is getting pretty mobile these days, here are a couple movies I put together so you can see for yourself. I call this first one, "I let Ryan ride my car." (note, that's my car. mine, mine, mine.)
video
I like to call this next one, "King Kong Crushes the Train"

video

And lastly, a film I named, "Uh oh this kid is gonna be walkin soon"

Happy Easter - 2008!

Hope you all had a nice Easter! Even though I decided at the last minute that I didn't like the Easter Bunny, and wouldn't take a picture... I gladly accepted his gifts and hunted for Easter eggs.

Ballet School

Well here I am at my ballet class. As you can plainly see, I'm the biggest kid in the class, and I'm also the only one doing what we're supposed to be doing. All the other kids must be off a step or two.

Look what I found in the dryer

Sunday, March 23, 2008

I went to the beach with Ryan...

I played on the swing

then we had lunch, wrote Ryan's name in the sand, and played together. Ryan likes to eat sand. Yuck.

Great Grandma Kohl

Great Grandma Kohl passed away at they young age of 94. I'm lucky that I got to meet her, and more importantly, she got to meet me before I entered the terrible two's (and 3's.) So we drove out to Arizona over the weekend to cheer up Papa Bob a little bit, Ryan is pretty good at that stuff.

I went to the park

I love puppies! Can I pick em up?

Go ahead. Ask me. Ask me what I did today. If it is sunny or foggy, or cold and rainy, heck, if there was a blizzard outside and there were 13 feet of snow on the ground, I would tell you the same thing... "I-aaaaye went to the park." Well, we all know that our brutal winter days in So. Cal won't see any snow, but yesterday, I went to the park with Daddy and Ryan. A couple of girls and their daddy let me play with their puppy for a long time! We ran and ran and ran, then, when the puppy was tired and went home, Ryan woke up and I pushed him in the swing. So I really did go to the park. But go ahead and try me next time you see me... Ask me, "What'd you do today?"

hi!

Toes by my nose!

Wanna take a bath?

Can you think of anything more fun than taking a bath with us?

Ryan likes toast

The 27 Days of Christmas

Here we are with my pal Santa. We're pretty much on a first name basis because we go to the mall almost every day to see Nana and Uncle Ricky, so we hang out quite a bit.
My brother is a pretty cute kid.

I like to pick him up!

Me

So there's been quite a lot of attention on this baby brother kid lately, but let's get one thing straight - I'm still the star around here. Everyone tells me how pretty I am, especially if I allow someone to put me in something besides a long sleeve shirt. 100 degrees out, who cares? I want a long sleeve shirt and pants on. I also reserve the right to go down kicking and screaming over my wardrobe, and shoe selection. Anyway, here are a few pictures of me being, well, you know... pretty.

Pick me up!

I get insanely crazy jealous when Daddy picks up that Ryan kid, so here I am making Daddy pick me up too. Who cares if I don't have a shirt on, just pick me up Daddy!

Jimmy and Jeffrey

My cousins Jimmy and Jeffrey came to visit in July and we had the best time! We had a party and we got to make strawberry shortcake, then we went to Legoland, and then to an Angel game. I loved Legoland and all the rides, but the baseball game was cool too because I almost ate a whole box of monkey tails (red vines.)
I can't wait to see them again!

P.S. Check out Jeffrey's sweet tattoo!

Boom Boom!

I love the fourth of July, especially the boom booms up in the sky! We played outside and ate dinner with all the neighbors, and then when it got dark, Daddy took me down to the park for the boom booms. My kid brother is just a baby, so he had to stay home with Mommy instead of going to see the fireworks with me. I stayed awake the whole time, but still made Daddy carry me up the hill when they were over.
Here I am in the wagon with my friends. After that I tried to hide behind the tree where I made some boom booms in my pants.

Summer Visitors

Hi,
My summer was full of visitors, and I'm pretty sure that everyone came around just to see me, not that new kid that sleeps in my parent's room. Here I am with the Brennan's in July.

Baby Brother!

Hi!
Guess what I got?!! A new baby brother! Ryan is here, he was born on June 25th around 1:10PM. He weighed 8 lbs, 2 ounces, and was 19 inches long. I couldn't wait to see him. I've been hugging and kissing him in Mommy's tummy for so long, now I get to do it to him in person!
I might have to consider changing the name of my blog site. That's not to say that I've changed my philosophy - it is still very much Ashley's world. I just plan on letting my baby brother be a part of it.

Scoot!

Hi,
Here I am with my new scooter. Actually, I don't have this one anymore because Mommy runned it over, but I got a new one. I love it so much, that on the day I got it, I hugged it before I went to bed.

Remember me?

Yes, I know, it has been a LONG time since I've updated this site. My daddy said it was kind of like college... where you miss a class, then 3 classes, then 8 classes in a row, and it gets harder and harder to go back to class. He said he heard about people that did that, not that he ever did it himself... (Nor did it contribute to his 7 year college plan)
So anyway, here are some pictures to fill in some of the gaps!

Here I am at Disneyland with my friend Pooh!

And here I am when I turned two!

From silly times with Auntie and Mimi...

to sitting on the couch and looking pretty...

to counting eggs from the Easter Bunny...

or wearing sunglasses and being funny.
I've had a great spring, and hope to see you soon - we're really excited for baby brother in June!

Present!

Here I am hiding behind the tree making a special Christmas present (in my pants) just for you! Stinky!

On!

Pull em up!

I love being a girl, and I love new clothes. Every time I open a new present, I demand to put ON my new outfit. On! On! On!

I even put my new big girl underpants ON, right where Daddy told me too.

The 34 days of Christmas

I really lucked out this year! It seemed like Christmas was every day. I celebrated in Arizona with Auntie Chris, Uncle Brian, Gramma Marcia and Papa Bob. Then I celebrated at home for several days, then again at Mimi Liz and Papa Frank's house. I had a great time spending the holidays with everyone, thanks again for all the good stuff!

Santa Claus!

I don't know what I was so afraid of last year, this guy is great! Last year, I only made it about 20 seconds before I decided I wanted off his lap. But this year, I shattered that record an me and old Santa Claus carried on like fast friends. We talked and talked about what I wanted for Christmas, the weather, Mrs. Claus... we chatted so much that I completely forgot that I was there to get my picture taken.

Big Girl Bed

Christmas came a little early this year - I got a new big girl bed! So much freedom! Now I don't even need to cry, scream, or fall out of my crib to make Mom and Dad come get me... I just kick their barn door open and annouce my arrival whenever I wake up! It is great!

Park!

Lookie, we found a park in the middle of the desert! I love parks!

Thankful

Hi,
We all went out to Arizona again, this time for Thanksgiving and to celebrate Papa Bob's release from the hospital. I spent my time playing with Gramma, Grampa, Auntie, Uncle Brian and Grand Jan. I made sure that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving dinner, because I napped all afternoon! I woke up just in time to eat turkey! I spent the rest of the weekend dressed up in a Piglet outfit and playing with those silly dogs Mollie and Cinderella. We are all very thankful that we were able to spend the holiday together, and that Papa Bob was home again.
See you soon.
Love,
Ashley

Disneyland!

Hey!
Did you know that Mickey Mouse lives at Disneyland? I got to go to see Mickey with Mom and Dad right before Halloween. I was so excited! I got to go on the Dumbo ride, Winnie the Pooh, and the Merry go Round. The rides were so much fun that I wanted to get right back on, especially Winnie the Pooh. I even got to see him after the ride, and was going to get my picture taken with him - until I decided that I didn't really want to get that close to a six foot tall yellow bear.
I tried so hard to stay awake so I could see everything, but it was just so tiring, and I think Mickey wanted to take a nap. I hope to go again real soon.

Trick or Treat!

Baka, baka, baka, cockle-doodle-doo! Guess who might be the funniest chicken ever! It took me a little while to get the hang of this trick or treat thing, but once my friend Halimah was with me, and people started giving me candy, I couldn't get enough. "New house daddy! New house daddy!" No, that wasn't Mommy asking Daddy to buy a new house again, I was ready to go to another house for more candy! I had so much fun! After I was all tired out (chickens can't fly and they get very tired from walking) my friends Mackenzie and Riley - two really cute cats - came to visit. I had a great Halloween, and even though I was excited and full of sugar, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I can't wait till next year!

A Nice Summer October Day

The weekend before Halloween, my Godfather and his family came down from cold and rainy Oregon. The weather was absolutely perfect so we went down to Oceanside to hang out with the Brennans at the family beach house. (My Daddy still wonders why they haven't moved back to sunny southern California.) I got to play on the beach, run in the water, and best of all, I played with Bill, Duke, and Breann and a whole bunch of other kids who brought their parents down to visit. While Daddy and his friends tried to relive their college years, we played and played. Can't wait to see everyone again soon!

The Great Pumkin Patch

Hi,
Fall is here, the tempature has dropped into the mid 70's (Brrrrr!!) and the pumpkin patch is open. I had so much fun!. I got to ride the train, play on a tractor, and even sat still long enough to get a picture with Mom and Dad. I'm still not so sure about this Halloween thing. I love the candy, but don't like all the scary decorations everywhere. Here are some pictures from when I took over the pumpkin patch.

Driving Miss Ashley

Phoenix

Hi,
I went to Phoenix to see the whole gang again. I got to see Papa Bob in the hospital, stayed with Auntie Chris and Auntie Brian, and played with Mimi Marcia a lot. I also got to go and play with my cousins, including a brand new one! I was on my best behavior with the new baby, and only touched her little feet a couple times. Then, after driving around in the big back yard, I got a little crazy and set a new record for tantrums in an afternoon. All part of a typical day for me! I'll be going back to Phoenix for Thanksgiving and can't wait to see everyone again.
Here are some pictures from my visit.
Love,
Ashley

Swingin on over to Phoenix

Hi,
Here I am playing on the swings in Laguna Beach. On Thursday, October 5th, I'm going to swing on over to Phoenix with Mommy to meet up with Daddy and visit Papa Bob in the hospital. I'm excited to see everyone again, and can't wait to impress them with all of the new words I've learned.
Papa Bob is doing a lot better since his pneumonia cleared. He's still got a long way to go with rehab, but he is getting stronger, breathing better, starting to eat, and getting more movementback in his arms and wrists. I can't wait to see him, Gramma, Auntie, uncle Brian, and both of my favorite doggies.

Love,
Ashley

Sincere thanks to everyone for your kind words, phone calls, messages, cards, emails, and keeping Dad in your prayers. It really makes all the difference in the world.

Daddy Said I Can

I don't look this smug because Daddy "said I can..." I just know that he won't say no...

Fishy!

Hi!
A couple weeks ago, I went to the Long Beach Aquarium to see all the big fish. I had so much fun! I even got to pet some of the fishies, including sting rays. One swam right up, and I must've touched it funny cause it almost jumped out of the water and scared the crap out of Daddy. We saw lotsa fish, and I even got a pretty fish shirt. Then we went to lunch and I was being really silly with Gramma and Grampa, as you can tell. As soon as my head hit the car seat after lunch, I was lights out!

Kitchen Set!!

Here I am playing with my new kitchen set. I absolutely love it!! I love it so much, that I like to play with it around the clock. I was sick last week, woke up at 3AM, and wanted to play "Kitchen set, kitchen set!!" Dad caved in, so I made him some tea and a hot dog in my kitchen.

Please Say a Prayer for My Grampa Bob

On Friday, August 25th, my Grampa Bob Kohl had an accident at a reception for his HS Reunion. He fell and hit his head, and fractured 2 vertebrae in his neck, suffering an injury to his spinal cord. Papa Bob is in Milwaukee at a hospital recovering from his injury and will be there for a while before going back home to Arizona. Papa Bob has been in great spirits in spite of his accident, and we are all so thankful that he is still with us. Please say a prayer to give Papa Bob the strength he needs to rehabilitate from his injury.
We all love you.

My First Red Sox Game

Even though Dad keeps saying wait till next year, I was really happy that I got to go to a game this year. I liked the boom booms (fireworks) and all the food! Mom and Dad let me run around in the outfield area, where I was able to be free and show off my new dance moves for Big Papi and the rest of the Red Sox players. I'm pretty sure that most of the people in the stands were really watching me instead of the game. The Angels are boring and I'm just so dynamic - silly and pretty - at the same time!

Even More Summer Fun - My Trip to Michigan

I went to Michigan to see all of my relatives and had so much fun. Of course, right before I left I came down with a nasty summer cold, but I was pretty much of a trooper - as long as Grampa was around. Anyway, I got to do whatever I wanted and eat whatever I wanted because I was sick.
I was feeling better over the weekend, and went on my very first boat ride, and played with all my cousins. I had so much fun, the girls treated me like a little princess and we played and play.
Then on Sunday night, they had a big pizza party, just for me!! I got to see even more of my relatives and eat one of my favorite foods - PIZZA!

Thanks to everyone for making my trip so special.

Love,
Ashley

More Summer Fun at the Fair

I had a great time at the fair. First, I went on a ride with Dad. I cried because I didn't want to sit still while the ride operator waited for more kids, you know I'm kind of fidgety... But as soon as it got going, I LOVED IT!! Then I ate a whole corn dog all by myself. I saw a whole bunch of Carnies trying to get my dad to play games, and then I went and pet a bunch of filthy barn animals and stuck my fingers in my mouth. Good times!

My Summer Vacation

Hi,
I've had a great summer vacation so far. But of course, every day for me is like being on vacation! Now that my Mommy has permanently joined me on vacation, I'm having the time of my life! Here are some pictures from my busy summer.

Here I am at Lego Land acting cool...

and hanging out with my cousins.

After all the rides, I found a place where I could get wet!!

I've also been to the beach...

and to the water park with my friends Duke, Breann, and my Godfather Bill.

I am very patriotic and celebrated the 4th of July, and almost stayed awake for all of the fireworks.

I went to the petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano and fed all the bunnies...

and then I tried to pick one up and take him home with me.

I like to play "ouside" in my new house...

and sometimes I just like to lounge around inside and look pretty.

I like to read books before bed...

And sometimes, if I'm really tired from a long and exciting day, I'll even go to sleep.
Good night!

Arizona

Hi,
Here are some pictures from my trip to see everyone in AZ over Mother's Day weekend. I just loved playing with the dogs and in the pool. My favorite part was playing with Molly's dog toys and in her cage. (Note to authorities - she crawled in there all on her own) It was great to see the whole family, I can't wait to go back.

Balboa

Mom and Dad took me to the Balboa Fun Zone a couple weeks ago. Dad said this trip was a lot different than how he used to spend his time at the beach, but we had a blast. We went on the Merry Go Round, then walked on the pier. I can't wait to go back again, but next time I hope they'll let me eat sand like I do at the playground.

Bed Head

Check me out, don't I look pretty? Pretty sweaty after a long nap on the bed!!

Easter!

I had a great Easter, even though I had to wear my costume again. But all I did was play, play, play. It was a great day and the whole family got together to celebrate me, I mean Easter. Here are some of my favorites from the day.
Love,
Ashley

Bunny!

This Easter Bunny dude isn't half as scary as Santa Claus. I sat on his lap for almost 2 whole minutes before crying, which is a new mall record. After I got off his lap though, I didn't want to leave. There were all kinds of things for me to get into, and I just needed more time for a full investigation. I was having so much fun! But I guess other kids wanted their turn, so I had to leave. Next year I might be big enough for an Easter egg hunt of my own.

Aloha!

Mom and Dad went to Hawaii in March. I got to stay with my Grammas and Grandpas, and they all let me do whatever I want, so its hard to tell who really had the better time. But I was excited to see them when they got home, and I think that they were excited to see me too. They got home late at night and banged a few things around so that I would "accidentally" wake up.
They got me a hula outfit, but I haven't left it on long enough to have pictures taken, so here are a few of Mom and Dad living it up.

Hiya!

It's been a while, Mom and Dad have been crazy busy with trips to Hawaii, Montreal, and Las Vegas, and more trips to Ottawa and Vegas coming soon.
Here are some pictures to get you all up to date on the most important thing in the world, ME!
Here I am showing off my best impression of Daddy and his beer belly.

Chompers!

Here I am spending another wintery March day at the beach in Laguna. I got real excited when I saw the swings, the birds, and I even got to run in the water.
Look closely (click on the picture) and you can see all my teeth! There must be hundreds of em in there. Since I can really chew now, I've finally decided that I like to eat real food. I still have trouble chewing all the stuff that winds up on my face instead of in my mouth, but I'm working on improving my aim.

Bum!

Look at me, don't I look like I could be in old Coppertone suntan lotion ad?

Spring!

My dad loves the spring because he says the Red Sox start out in first place every year, and summer is right around the corner. Here's a picture from last year, right after my dad told me that the Red Sox won the World Series when I was in Mommy's belly.
Here's a picture from the first time my dad told me about the Yankees. He wanted to wait until I was more mature before he told me about the dreaded Yankees.

Hi!

Hi Everyone,
Sorry, it's been a while because Dad has been busy traveling and Mom and Dad have spent a lot of time taking care of me instead of sleeping. I've been really sick and am finally starting to feel better. I've been really clingy! I got so used to sleeping in Mom and Dad's bed after waking up in the middle of the night crying, that this is now my favorite place to be. Can't you tell? This is my BIG bed now and I love it. It's hard to tell, but these pictures were taken at 5:30 AM, when I am WIDE awake.

I'm one, I'm happy, and I love you!

Daddy says I'm even prettier now than the day I was born. And I was pretty then!!

Thanks to everyone for all your love and support in my first year.
Love, Ashley

Everyone loves Ashley

I don't know why everyone thinks I am so funny. It's not like I take food out of my mouth and try to put it in yours. Well, maybe I do.

Boys like princesses

Garrett is totally checking me out, look at me pretending not to notice.

I'm pretty sure Jack digs me too.

Pick a winner!

I've heard that you can't pick your family, but I think I got pretty lucky. My daddy even showed me how to pick a winner.

Let me eat cake!

It's my birthday, it's my birthday!!

Hooray, I'm one! Can you all believe that it has been a year already? I sure had a great year!! I grew and learned so much, hard to believe that I used to be this tiny and wrinkly. I gained over 14 pounds, just like my dad did in his 6th year of college. 157 party pictures coming soon.

Great!

I'm sad that my great grandma is leaving to go home to Nebraska, but I had so much fun showing off for her and I gave her a big drooly kiss goodbye. I am so big and so busy all the time, that it's hard for some people to believe that I'm not even 1 year old yet.
My great grandma and I both have birthdays coming very soon and I'm very excited. I'm 95 years younger than my great grandma, which is also pretty hard to believe. Can you imagine how many baths I'll get to take if I live to be 96?

Happy New Year

Hi,
Happy New Year! I've been very busy this year so far. I've been spending lots of time playing with my Christmas presents, visiting with my grandparents and great grandmother, and I went to a birthday party for my friend Jack. Here are some recent pictures, see you soon.

Baby New Year!

Christmas Day!

Wow!! I had no idea that the guy in the red suit would bring me so many toys! Maybe he's not so bad after all. I think next year I will sit on his lap for more than 10 seconds. I had breakfasst and opened presents at home in the morning, then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Deni's house for Christmas Dinner. The whole family was there, but as usual and I was the center of attention and everyone seemed to love watching me open my presents and play with everything. Thanks everyone!!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, I went to church. I liked seeing all the people at church, but I guess you are supposed to sit kind of still and be kind of quiet in there. I'm not very good at those things, so me and dad stayed outside for most of it. After church, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Kohl's house for dinner. They had lots of presents for me to open, and I got to see my Great Grandma Laird. My dad said that I hit the wall some time around 730 so we went home so I could rest up for Santa.

Christmas Eve Afternoon

I think my parents are trying to tire me out so that I'll be a good girl tonight. I ran errands this morning with Dad, then they took me to the park. It was absolutely beautiful outside today, it was a wintery 76 degrees and not a cloud in the sky! I went on the swing (see my belly!) and the slide, then I ate some sand. I plan on fooling Mom and Dad by not getting tired, because I don't like naps. So I'm going to try really hard to stay awake unless I get really, really...

Christmas Eve Morning!

It's going to be a very busy and exciting day today so I started with a nutritious breakfast. Then I got to open a couple presents early, and I actually liked playing with them instead of just eating the paper.

Resting Up on 12/23

I am feeling much better after having the tummy flu all week, and am excited to open my presents this weekend. I'm told that ALL of these presents are mine, so I've been inspecting them very closely, which tires me out... for a minute.

Swing!

I went to the park with Daddy today. I ran all over the place, and got to pet a big dog. But I love the swing more than anything! After the park, we went to the store for a little while. I was getting a little tired so I made some poop sounds and Dad took me right home.

Crazy Driver

I'm 10 1/2 months old, and already a better driver than Mommy.

Party!!

I went to a fun birthday party for my friends Lindsey and Garrett today. I had the best time!! I got to eat french fries, play with balloons, dance, and I even sat at the table with the big kids. Then Santa showed up!! At first I was excited, and I even made it look like I wanted to go near him. But when it was my turn for a picture, I got scared and cried. Even though the guy in the red suit freaks me out, I had so much fun! I was tired after my long day, so I made daddy go home and take a 2 hour nap with me. What a great day!

Why are you leaving me with this man in the red suit?

T minus 4 seconds until core meltdown.

Peek!

Hi,
I get especially silly when I'm happy. I'm usually really happy as long as I am doing what I want to do, or if I just woke up from a nap.
Sometimes I get really silly right before I'm ready to go to sleep. Last night, I was so tired that I actually sat on the couch for a few minutes and didn't even try to climb down.
I was hiding in my blanket, and when I would hear mommy and daddy calling for me, I would be real quiet and sit still. (really, I sat still!)
Then, I would move the blanket away from my eyes and surpise Mommy and Daddy by saying, "Peek!!" Hopefully, I'll see you soon and we can play.
Love,
Ashley
